Welcome to JW Cross Maintenance

JW Cross has been involved in earthmoving and plant hire in the Bunbury Region of Western Australia since 1968. The company was founded by Jack Cross and is currently run by his four sons. In recent years the business has expanded through diversification, whereby sections of the existing business separated off to develop in their particular environments. JW Cross Maintenance, Picton Civil, Peel Resource Recovery, Cross Resource Management and West Coast Waste are now the operational businesses.

JW Cross Maintenance has become a trusted, reliable and community-conscious company supplying some of WA’s major resource and government bodies.

JW Cross was active in the construction phase of Worsley Alumina and has worked with Worsley every step of the way, through each expansion phase to everyday maintenance, to the recent Pipeline from Wellington Dam.
JW Cross Maintenance was created in 2012 specialising in Civil Works, Site Services and Maintenance plus Rail Maintenance and Construction. Thus continuing with our previous 30 years of service under JW Cross & Sons banner. We have recently added a Training section to the business as we continue to expand our areas of expertise.

Our Values

Health & Safety

JW Cross Maintenance uphold a high level of safety standards in our work places. This is important as much of our work is carried out in areas where high standards of accreditation are required, like mine sites.

All our plant operators are accredited with national operator certificates of competency and white cards. All employees are screened and we have an ongoing training program. We actively support a policy of zero harm in the workplace.

A standout achievement in safety was 7 years of operation without an injury that required more than first aid in a challenging environment (Active Brownfield Alumina Refinery). This was achieved through a strong focus on safety practices across the organization.

Environmental Responsibility

We understand the effects our work may have on the environment and we take every precaution to make certain our employees work within legislative guidelines. We endeavor to minimise all environmental impact on our work sites.

The company is always looking at ways to recycle materials and to use these when appropriate. One area of recycling is our crushed concrete product and recycled screened sand.
